My first apartment was a Volkswagen bus. I thought I was being independent, my family just thought I was homeless.
At 18 years old, curious about America, I hopped a freight train with an old 35mm my dad brought back from Vietnam. I travelled 80 thousand miles only to find that people have the same dreams everywhere.
After paddling through the Amazon to "spirit-chase" with a Shaman, I returned with a deep respect for the jungle, covered in mosquito bites, and a moldy camera. At one point, lost in the dunes of India, I traded a mixed tape for water.
Somewhere along the way I went to school, only to find that you can show people how to think but you can't teach them how to see.
Always Curious....Frequently direct....Sometimes a skeptic,
an incessant perfectionist.
When this ride is over, all I want is a stack of frayed passports and a collection of photo souvenirs so I never forget how blessed my life had been.
